Visual art is a direct communication from one person to another. The development and creation of the art by the artist and the resulting interpretation and connection by the viewer is what makes art so exciting. My perception of the world and the current environment in which I live directly influence the art I create.  My steel figures are derived from past experiences, cultural ideologies and interactions with people that have made a significant impact on my life.  The combination of distinctive characteristics and symbols into a singular three-dimensional form gives my pieces their defined presence.
