The cultural symbolism of Totems has fascinated me since I saw my first Native American totems as a child while on vacation with my parents in the Pacific Northwest. The basic symbolic communication of these structures has a common thread that speak to all of us.

Throughout human history, totems have been a communication tool defining a specific tribe or group of people.  In the development of my totems, I keep a basic traditional design structure of the overall image.  Within that form, I develop my own symbolic arrangement of forms and surfaces to create these unique tributes to human culture.
